Housing more than 15,000 artifacts, the museum features realistic dioramas and archaeological collections explaining how Florida was formed, as well as full-sized casts of Ice Age mammals indigenous to South Florida. The museum also includes extensive displays depicting the history of Spanish influence in the area. It lies on the south end of Green Bridge, on U.S. Highway 41.
